Lasix (furosemide) belongs to the class of drugs called loop diuretics and is intended for the treatment of fluid retention in patients diagnosed with liver disease, heart failure of kidney disorder. Some drugs that you are taking can make Lasix less efficient and affect your treatment. Tell your doctor if you have recently used or are using at the moment any of the medications mentioned below: lithium, ethacrynic acid, streptomycin, amikacin, steroids, salicylates, indomethacin, diet pills or cold medicine, other blood pressure medications, digoxin, and any drugs that you think may potentially interfere with Lasix and affect your treatment. Do not share your medicine with other people as everyone is supposed to see a doctor before taking Lasix.
